About the yoga classes

My classes are open level, with options for all from beginners to experienced yogis. They are light-hearted and friendly with the emphasis on building a yoga community and practicing together. You will leave after an hour of movement and breath, walking taller, the knots unravelled, feeling refreshed & invigorated, relaxed and de-stressed.

The style is a Vinyasa Flow where the yoga postures (asanas) are linked together in a smooth, continuous flow in harmony with the breath. Every time we come to the mat, each pose is cued in detail and suggestions for variations to suit different bodies and experience are offered so that each student can find their own level of practice.

Our class usually starts by focusing or grounding ourselves in a simple meditation followed by a thorough warm up including our sun salutations and then a creative flow ending in a warm down and final relaxation (savasana). Short breathwork routines are taught and a meditation or reading is included.

Yoga

Many people see yoga as a way to stretch. This is only part of yoga's magic! Yoga not only stretches you, it increases your strength, as well as improving mobility and flexibility throughout your body including your muscles, joints, tendons and fascia.

Along with all these amazing physical benefits, yoga also encourages the quieting of the mind and nervous system through focus on breathing and explores the power of linking breath to movement.

About me

I was no different to many people and first came to yoga as a way to stretch after running. As I found my wonderful teachers over the years they have helped me to discover the many other powerful benefits.
I've now been practicing yoga for almost 10 years and decided I wanted to teach and share what I had learned gaining my 200 hour yoga teacher qualification in May 2023 with the MoreYoga training school here in London.
